Presented to the best Clubman. Instigated in 1962, just one year after the beginning of the Club, the Vaile Cup remains the most prestigious award at the Chadstone Lacrosse Club.
John Vaile was neither a player nor a parent at this early stage of the Chadstone Cardinals Lacrosse Club! He was a neighbour of one of our earliest Chaddy families – Alan Everest and his son Peter .
He was so impressed by what the Club was trying to do that he became our first trophy donor, and remained associated with the Club for many years.
