In 1966 two cups were donated to the Club. One was donated by V. Johnson for the Open age group, and the second, for Under Age group was donated by C.S. Middleton. It appears that only the Open age was presented that year.
The following year the cups were named in honour of one of the original supporters of the Club, Alan Everest.
Alan was present at the inaugural meeting of the Chadstone Cardinal Lacrosse Club in March 1960, and had a long standing commitment to the Club. His son Peter played in one of the first three teams in 1960.
