Roy Freeman
President 1978 - 1981
One of the original stalwarts of the Club, Roy joined our ranks when Bill Gray snr recruited him to coach his son, Bruce aged 10, in the 1967 U12's.
"Roy never lost sight of the fact that juniors were the life-blood of any club and without continuous recruiting there would be no growth"
Dick Morgan Some recollections 1999
" Roy recruited me in 1984. He was always working with the juniors, and drove us to all the games, gave us equipment to use etc. We used to go back to his house after games for a feed now and then. Good memories" Paul Iuliano 2019
" Lacrosse has been a huge part of our lives and to this day we are still involved, to a small degree, with the Phoenix Club in WA. Roy you will always be a part of my life and thank you for starting my competitive sporting career, not only in lacrosse. RIP you will never be forgotten in our family" Craig Smith 2020
